We know some of our audience are young girls and teenagers who stumble across our page mostly through our beauty and fashion advice. However, while you are here, we have some advice for young girls and teenagers which should help you maximize your potentials as a young individual and help you to gain competitive advantage over other teenagers out there. These advice are practical and realistic. Some of them may sound too strict or old fashioned, but they will benefit you in the long term.
Bear in mind, this will be a long post, but it will be worth the read, we promise.
1. Don’t Do Stupid Things That Would Ruin Your Life
We don’t like the stereotype of “dumb young teenage girls”, but the phrase exists for a reason. Socially speaking, young teenage girls are more prone on doing stupid things which could potentially ruin their lives, both long term and permanently. We are not saying every young girl are like that, of course not, but most young girls are still so naïve, oblivious and impressionable.
We are going to list some of the most common stupid mistakes you should avoid if you don’t want to technically ruin your life.

Posting a Nude Online (or Sending Nudes to Your BF)
We feel like this is really common that some girls are starting to think “so what’s the big deal?”. The problem is, if you are still underage, you can get some legal troubles. Posting nude online is never a good idea, because you don’t know what kind of people are watching you and some people could use it to harm you both physically and mentally.
Remember, as we have stated, nothing truly disappear from the internet. You may gain permanent scarring from this action alone.
On the other hand, if you are sending nudes to your boyfriend, don’t think you’re safe either, there is some chances your current boyfriend is secretly a douche and when you break up, he might use the nudes you sent him as a threat or a tool of blackmail.
We have witnessed cases like this so many times with young girls and some of them ended up in a very dark situation. Girls, please, no matter how hot or charming your boyfriend is, avoid sending him nudes.

Writing Unfiltered Opinions on Twitter or Any Other Social Media Platform
We love girls who could form her own opinion and view at something, but at your age, your opinions are mostly formed by what you absorb from other people. This is why, at around 13-16 years old, it is important to keep most of your opinions to yourself, because there is a huge chance that your opinion and perspective could still change.
Especially if your opinion is on the radical side. Some people might take serious offense in it, but more than that, if you have a large following online, people could really come at you for it. If you have no counter reasons to back up your opinion (which you mostly don’t since you only parrot what other people say) you could get in some serious social trouble.
We would always suggest you to think for yourself instead of just nodding at whatever the media is shoving at your face and filter what you share online, especially on your personal social media account.

Committing Unprotected Sex and Getting Pregnant as A Teen
Yes, we get it, when you’re a teenager, your hormones are going crazy and you can get pretty horny. However, we would highly suggest you to avoid committing unprotected sex, because there is a high chance you would get pregnant regardless of your ovulation phase (remember, sperm can remain alive in your body for quite some time).
If you are planning on having sex (which we don’t encourage, since most guys at this age don’t deserve your body and you might regret it later on in life), wear condom or take birth controls.
This way you would avoid any unwanted pregnancy which might lead to either abortion or the birth of an unwanted child. Don’t get yourself in the permanent mess for a boy who won’t even stay forever in your life. Some teenage moms manage to make it through but not without a huge amount of stress, struggles and social pressure. It’s better to prevent it altogether.

Doing Social Media Challenges That Could Damage Your Self Image or Physical Appearance
Young girls for some reason really love joining social media challenge more than anyone else, and sometimes, some of these challenges could create some permanent or at least long term damage to both your appearance and social image.
The simplest example was the Kylie Lip Challenge where a bunch of young girls were sucking on bottle cap or weird devices in hope to achieve lips like Kylie Jenner. Instead they developed a weird duck lips with bruises around the edges. But that was a rather light example.
Some of these challenges are far more extreme and could lead to some serious injuries. Avoid doing any of these dumb challenges and stick to what’s reasonable.

Getting Tattoos
Some of you may disagree with this point, but we would suggest you to avoid getting a tattoo until you are at least in your early twenties, the reason for this is because when you are young, you are still impressionable. Getting a matching tattoo with your boyfriend may sound cute now.
However, you might regret it in the future if the two of you break up, which is the case with most teenagers and young people. Also avoid getting any face tattoo, no matter how cool they may look, they can ruin your face permanently.

Doing Drugs
It does not matter what you do in life, never do drugs. When you’re young and in the wrong circle, it may seems ‘cool’ to try the forbidden substance. However, the risk isn’t worth the clapping.
There are countless reasons why you should avoid it. From addiction to possible overdose to the horrible criminal based industry behind the substance.
Doing drugs would also create a dent in your wallet, which if you are still young and struggling financially could get you in a huge debt.
For your own safety, avoid doing drugs altogether. It’s an act that will ruin your life.
2. Don’t Think Your Current High School or Middle School Friends Would Still Befriend You Years from Now
This is a harsh reality that many of you wouldn’t want to hear. However, as you mature and become an adult, you will lose friends you know from middle school and high school. Your priorities and interest will change. Sooner or later, your self-interest, career and family would become your top priority.
You may want to travel and make new connections. For some of you, you may become the next millionaire and billionaire. While you’re working toward it, your friends might be stuck in their mediocrity, not understanding why you’re so ambitious and passionate about your goal.
Once you are at the top, you will see that not everyone actually had good intentions for you. Everyone would show their true nature and you may feel conflicted in the beginning, but you’ll eventually be fine.
As your horizon broaden and you discover who you really are and what you want, the people who aren’t meant for you will leave one by one. It’s completely normal. Keep in mind, protection from people who aren’t meant for you is a blessing, not a curse.
3. Stop Wasting Time on Social Media (Unless You’re Making Money of It)
This one is a bit controversial since we are living in the age of social media. However, if you are not making money out of it, limit the time you spend on it.
Social media is a double edged sword. On one hand, it can be an amazing tool to elevate yourself. There are so many educational content and information that would sharpen your mindset and set skills. It can also be a great source of income when used right. On the other hand, there’s also a much darker, sinister side of social media. When you are young, you’re more impressionable to other people’s influence. This can result in depression, anxiety, comparison and lack of motivation.
If you still want to use social media, you need to be really aware of the type of content you are consuming and the people you follow. Make sure you are having positive influences in your life, not the negative ones.
4. Learn New Skills Outside School Curriculum
We all know that one person who’s all about the academic and has zero skill outside of the textbooks. Don’t be that person. While you’re in school and have a lot of free time on your hand, learn new skills outside school that would help you in the long term.
These skills are applicable to both boys and girls. Young girls in particular would really benefit from learning these skills even though sometimes they could be deemed more masculine.
These skills include:
- Financial Management
- Business
- Marketing
- Public Speaking
- Music
- Creative Skills
- Languages
- Cooking
- Psychology
- Negotiating
- Communication
- Problem Solving
- Seduction
We will create separate article to explain each of these skills in details but believe us when we say these skills would come in handy in the future.
5. Don’t Bother Being Cool
When you’re still in school, stay focused on developing yourself and your interests. Don’t bother trying to be cool or impressing other people especially your fellow classmates. These people wouldn’t matter a few years from then. Even popular kids in high school won’t remain that way once they get in ‘the real world’. Focus on yourself and your goals instead.
We don’t recommend you to neglect your social life either, but we advise you start building close genuine friendships with the people who have similar visions and goals as you are. Don’t waste your time partying or studying all the time. Have some balance but remain focused.
6. Start Reading Books Early On
This one sounds simple but a lot of young kids tend to neglect it these days. Start reading books early on. We would advise you to start reading self-help and financial education books because these will come in handy for you in the long run.
You can also read books about subjects you are interested in, whether it’s science, history, cooking, gardening, politics, etc. Fantasy and fiction books are also great in moderation. Not to mention there are a lot of great benefits of reading books. The earlier you start, the better.
7. Pick an Interest You Really Like and Be Really Good at It
Your youth is the perfect time to explore yourself and your interest. If you’re lucky, you would have discovered one or two things you’re really good at since childhood. Something people acknowledge and praise you about. If not, that’s okay too. You can always experiment and pick an interest you really like. After you do that, sharpen that skill until you become really good at it. Although at this stage, you may be wondering if that interest is actually beneficial for you.
There are three ways to know if your interest would be good for you in the long term.
- How much do you actually enjoy it?
- How good are you at it? (especially compared to your peers)
- Will you be able to monetize it?
The third question is highly important because if you’re not financially well and by chance couldn’t use your interest to keep yourself afloat and beyond, you will begin to resent it or lose time to do it since you have bills to pay. So make sure whatever interest you’re choosing will be able to get monetized at one point in case it’s necessary.
8. Know When to and When Not to Listen to Your Parents
A lot of teenagers are in their rebellious phase, refusing to hear anything from their parents while others are too demure and obedient toward their parents. Both are equally destructive in their own way. The key lies in balance. You should know when to and when not to listen to your parents.
The first step is understanding your parents’ nature and their background. If they try to give you advice in something they are successful and good at, listen to them. However, if they give you advice in something they themselves fail to do or miserable at, don’t listen to them and form your own opinion.
9. Don’t Chase Boys, Most of Them are Waste of Time
We have written an entire post of realistic dating advice for young girls and women you can check out after this so we will keep it brief here. You shouldn’t revolve your world, especially at this stage of life for boys. Most of them are a waste of time.
Of course, we aren’t here to tell you that you couldn’t get married to your high school sweetheart in the end. That’s entirely possible. However, when you are still in school, your priority should be building genuine connections / network, studying and developing yourself.
10. Have a Successful Role Model and Study Them.
Last but not least, have a successful role model in your life you can look up to for guidance. These people are the ones who have walked the path and currently at the place you want to be in your life. They are the people who inspire you and motivate you to become better. You can even have multiple role models for each field you’re developing. Study them, learn what they did and the mistakes they made so you don’t have to make the same ones. Then apply the information you get to your own path and see where it takes you.
Those were some advice we could give you. Remember, your youth is your currency and you should spend it wisely.
