All of us have dreams and we want to live our dreams life. The truth is, to live your dream life, you may need to do more than dreaming. Wishful thinking, manifestation and law of attraction is not enough to be successful. You have to take actions. Now, here are a few practical steps that will help you achieve your dream life.
1. Identify Your Dreams
The first thing you want to do is identifying your dreams. Write down the things you want from life in a piece of paper. From your ideals to your dream home, partner and lifestyle. You can’t live your dream if you don’t even know what they are. Don’t write a long list of dreams, save those for your bucket list. Your dream should be divided into several different aspects.
First, your career or aspirations. Figure out what kind of work you want to do. Do you want to be an artist, businessman or perhaps a housewife? Be honest with yourself.
Second is your lifestyle. What sort of lifestyle do you want for yourself? Do you want to live a glamorous city life or perhaps you prefer a quiet life in the countryside? Do you want to be a multi-millionaire entrepreneur or you prefer to be a stay at home mother and housewife?
Next is your ideal partner. What kind of person do you want to be with? Perhaps you may not want one at all?
Make around five dreams you want to achieve short term and another five or the long term.
2. Plan Your Life
After you have identified your dreams, you want to plan your life. First, figure out where you are at life right now? Are you stressed, depressed and in debt? Are you a fresh college graduate who is still exploring your passion and career preference? Or maybe you are married with kids or recently divorced.
The key is to be honest with your present self. Now, after you are aware of where you are, you want to start making a plan to get from where you are from where you want to be.
For example, if you are in debt right now and want to live a debt free life, you want to make a plan to clear out the debt. Figure out some side hustles you can do to bring more income and work from there.
If you are still young and you know your dream life is to be a housewife, then plan out the characters of a partner who is willing to provide you with that kind of lifestyle and how you can meet them.
Maybe you want to become a scientist, then plan out the ways you can work in the scientific field and make a name for yourself. Perhaps you want to build a multi-million dollar company? Then create a business plan and figure out the tools and people you need to bring this dream to life.
3. Set Goals and Timeline
Now, after you are done identifying your dreams and creating plans on how to achieve them. You want to set goals and timeline for each one of your dreams.
Some of them can be a little bit tricky, like finding a partner and having a wedding. They may be out of your control for a while. However, the rest are likely under your control.
The key here is to be realistic. Don’t expect to be an overnight millionaire or having your business take off within a week of launch unless you already have a huge following. Set realistic goals and timeline for yourself that are achievable within reach.
We believe in compounding and acceleration, meaning your business may reach more customers than the targeted time, but even those things take time especially in the beginning.
4. Take Actions
At this point, you have known your dreams, plan to achieve it and create the goals alongside the timeline. It’s time to take actions. You can start from something small as taking new classes or course to achieve new skills or creating your first online store and placing your products. Maybe even applying for a new job while still on your current job or start going out in affluent places to meet your potential partner.
Sometimes the actions require something bigger such as moving out from your hometown to getting plastic surgery to achieve your dream look. Whatever it is, you have to take actions because dreams and plans are useless if you don’t take actions to make them reality.
If you find it difficult to make such a drastic change immediately, then you can just do small actions every day to be closer to where you want to be.
5. Do Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly evaluation
The next important step is to do monthly, quarterly and yearly evaluation. Based on what you have planned and done, how far have you come within a year, four months and a year.
How has the progress been? What are some of the challenges you faced and how did you resolve them? Were they even resolved at all? Did you make any mistakes and what have you learnt from it?
How has the growth been? Did you achieve your goals and target? Did you make the sales and profit you planned for? How do people react to the changes and progress you’ve made? Cover everything you can think of.
You must always be ready to adapt and tweak things here and there in case it doesn’t work or needs improvement. If something works, then do more of it but always be cautious of the worst possibility.
6. Study The People Who Has Your Dream Life
An important side note is to study the people you aim to be. For example, you want to be an amazing real estate agent. Then you should start studying some of the best and most well-known real estate agent you can find.
If you want to be a wealthy housewife, then study the housewives of millionaires and billionaires and figure out how they made it.
Of course, you need to adapt their method to your own circumstances, but we are sure you can always learn something from them which you can apply in your own life.
7. Network with The Right Individual
The next step is to network with the right individual. We have mentioned it several times before but it’s important to surround yourself with the kind of people you admire.
These kind of people will open up opportunities for you and may elevate you to become a better version of yourself. Being with the right circle of people will make it easier for you to reach your dream life. Just make sure you aren’t just using them and contribute something in return as well.
8. Celebrate Each Moments
Last but not least, you have to understand that your dream life is not a set and stone hard goal. You should always celebrate each small wins you make in life.
Don’t forget to be grateful because when you look back, you will see that you’ve gone so far from where you were. Don’t forget to enjoy your life as you work for your dream. Before you realize it, you are already living your dream life and more.
Conclusion
Living your dream life is absolutely possible. Don’t listen to the people who tell you that you dream too big and you can’t be living the life you desire. Be realistic, take actions but don’t settle.
